See Kitty Joseph’s collection for Absolut Originality
We love it when established brands tap new talent, which is why we were really excited when we heard that Absolut‘s latest collaborator is up-and-coming designer Kitty Joseph, who has created a three-look capsule collection inspired by the new limited-edition Absolut Originality bottle.
Each of the four million Absolut Originality bottles is created using a drop of blue infused into the molten glass for a unique work-of-art, which Kitty has echoed in her designs using hand-dyeing techniques. The Royal College of Art graduate follows in the footsteps of such fashion luminaries as Tom Ford, Versace, Stella McCartney, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Gareth Pugh in hooking up with Absolut, and has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, MAC and Carine Roitfeld – not bad for a girl just two years out of college. The collection also includes jewellery and glasses with the signature blue streaks; we’re hankering after the gobstopper rings.
“Working with Absolut on this project was a delight and an honour,” Kitty says. “The purity and colour of the bottle and the process developed to create each unique cobalt blue mark really struck a chord with me and it was so exciting for me to extend this idea into print on a human scale.”
Check out the video, which features New York musician Njena Reddd Foxxx dancing to her track Water Colours in the collection – and then visit addyourdrop.com for details of how to win your very own unique Absolut Originality bottle, or possibly the trip of a lifetime.
